In every community, boys and girls are left to find their own
recreation and companionship in the streets. An increasing
number of children are at home with no adult care or
supervision. Young people need to know that someone cares about
them. Boys & Girls Clubs offer that and more. Club programs and
services promote and enhance the development of boys and girls
by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging and
influence.
Founded in 1946, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Laredo continues its tradition of service to the youth of our community. Annually the program serves over 30,000 youngsters, engaging them in wholesome activities that foster character and a healthy sense of well being.
The need is great. Our determination is greater.
Hope and opportunity remain the main thrusts of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Laredo. Our Community contains areas that traditionally lack many of the necessary resources to provide hope and opportunity for our young people to succeed. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Laredo bring activities for their energy and talents.

They say "Charity begins at home." The Boys & Girls Clubs of Laredo are part of your community, your home. As a member of the community it all begins with you. It is your and your neighbor's contribution that will assure that the Clubs remain a viable option for the children of this community to grow in a safe and friendly environment.
