Attention 2nd- 6th Grade Basketball Coaches, For the first time in the history of our Boys and Girls Club of Laredo Basketball League, we have been forced to announce that we are officially ending this past spring semester’s 2020 2nd-6th grade season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The safety of the players, coaches, fans, and staff members is our number one priority and as such this decision was made to ensure their safety.

The final standings are those that were updated on March 11, 2020. We will be in contact with the coaches of 1st and 2nd place teams so that we may award them their medals and trophy. If you have any questions, contact Joe “J.R.” Garza at (956)722-7549 or email at sprotsdirector@bgcsports.com. A decision has not been made on the upcoming 2020-2021 Boys and Girls Club Sports Leagues. As this is a fluid situation, we will keep a close eye on all updates made by our local, state, and federal governments and the CDC. The Boys and Girls Club of Laredo’s mission is to return to the courts and fields as soon as it is deemed safe to do so. In the meantime, we encourage the public to continue to social distance, wear a face mask, and practice good hygiene so that we help flatten the curve.
